Kate’s Furreka Rescue is thrilled to share the heartwarming success of our recent pet adoption event hosted by the Jay Ribera Memorial Baseball Tournament at Mistlin Park in Ripon. This past Saturday, amidst the excitement of America’s favorite pastime, eight of our lovable dogs found their forever homes: Swiss Miss, Socks, Doug, Chuey, Zoe, PJ, Cindy-Lou, and Ricky.

The sunny weather and cheerful atmosphere at Mistlin Park set the perfect stage for a day filled with hope and new beginnings. Families and baseball fans alike took a break from the thrilling games to meet and greet our furry friends. The event was bustling with energy as children petted the dogs, prospective adopters asked questions, and volunteers shared stories about each dog’s personality and background.

This incredible success would not have been possible without the support of the Jay Ribera Memorial Baseball Tournament organizers. Their commitment to community and willingness to host our adoption event provided an invaluable platform to showcase our dogs and connect them with loving families. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone involved in the tournament for their generosity and support.

A special thank you also goes out to our dedicated volunteers, who worked tirelessly to ensure the event ran smoothly. Their passion and commitment to our mission of rescuing and rehoming dogs were evident in every interaction with the public and the care they provided to our canine companions.

The joy of seeing eight dogs embark on their new journeys with their forever families is indescribable. Each adoption represents not only a fresh start for these wonderful animals but also a testament to the power of community collaboration and compassion.

We invite everyone to stay connected with Kate’s Furreka Rescue for future events and adoption opportunities. Your support helps us continue our mission of saving lives and creating happy endings, one dog at a time.

Thank you once again to the Jay Ribera Memorial Baseball Tournament organizers, our volunteers, and all the wonderful families who opened their hearts and homes to our dogs. Here’s to more successful events and many more happy tails!

Thank you so much for the awesome write-up!! Just knowing that 8 lovable, lucky dogs found their forever homes melts my heart. I know that feeling, because I recently adopted my precious dog Domino (Jan 2024) from Kate’s Furreka Rescue. It was the best thing I could have ever done. Domino has filled my heart more then I could have ever imagined. Kate’s Furreka Rescue thank you again!!!

What a great event and so happy to see so many dogs find a home. This was a memorial tournament for our friend who past away in 2011 and was a huge part of the baseball community and so glad to donsomething special in his name and memory! Thank you to all who donated money, helped spread awareness for rescue dogs, to Kates Rescue for all their tireless work and dedication, and to all the new families who adopted dogs!!
