Meet Max, a somewhat shy 8-year-old Husky. Max is very small (40lbs). He wants to get along with everyone but sometimes the larger dogs intimidate him. He seems comfortable outside. He just needs an owner that will gain his trust and assure him that he is ok and protected. If you’ve wanted a smaller Husky this boy is for you. He does have one ear that is deformed.
His foster is located in Angels Camp, CA, and will drive up to 2 hours to have a meet-n-greet. Then if you want, you can take him home for a trial adoption (1-30 days). If you decide you’d like to make it permanent, we then do the contract and fees. If at any time after this, you decide you cannot keep him, I will take him back but there will be no refund.
Please do your research on Huskies beforehand as this breed is unlike others. I cannot guarantee any dog’s behavior after adoption. Remember that many of these dogs have experienced abuse and it takes time for them to feel safe and bond with you (some, not all). In many cases we do not have a prior history.
